May 15, 2019 — Ms. Ashlee Bush-Davis, 3rd & 4th grade science teacher at ReNEW Dolores T. Aaron Academy (DTA), has earned a New Orleans Excellence in Teaching Award. This week, OPSB Superintendent Dr. Henderson Lewis stopped by DTA to surprise Ms. Bush-Davis and her class with the award. Launched in 2015, the New Orleans Excellence in Teaching Award is a citywide award to recognize outstanding public school teachers.
April 24, 2019 — ReNEW intends to submit 21st Century Learning Community grant proposals in an effort to provide after-school programming at ReNEW campuses, and to provide academic enrichment to students who attend low-performing schools.

April 9, 2019 — Students at ReNEW Dolores T. Aaron Academy (DTA) are working on final rehearsals for their upcoming Spring Concert, set for April 17 at 6:30 PM. The event will feature the DTA Concert Band, DTA “Young Heroes” Brass Band, and guest artists ranging from the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra’s NOJO 7 to Preservation Hall’s Kevin Louis. The 60 students in the DTA Band Program have been preparing for this night the entire school year, and are excited to showcase their talents.
November 8, 2018 — The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) announced academic growth grades, and ReNEW K-8 schools each earned a ‘B.’
